Public transportation

Take a free ride
Free bus rides are now available on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis and to and from the Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC). This gives you an easy way to go from one end of town to the other – for free! The free service on selected routes between Grant Street and Washington Avenue S. will be offered on buses with "Free Ride" showing on their exterior signs. Other buses on Nicollet will charge 50 cents.

The free-ride buses will run every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 15 to 30 minutes on weekends. Also, buses on Nicollet will stop at every other block between 5th and 13th Streets, rather than every block as they do now. That will allow buses to run their routes more quickly. Bus passes available! Metro Transit day passes are available for purchase at the Visitor Information Center at the MCC during regular hours. The passes can be used on buses and light rail transit.

Skyways
