Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC) Guest Services provides all the details that make the difference between an event that’s fine and an event that's fabulous. Working with you, they make sure your attendees focus on the event and not how they're going to get to the next room.
If you have event staff needs, you'll be assigned a Guest Service Supervisor who will coordinate the details as they relate to the MCC services, event diagrams and fire safety regulations.
Event Staffing
MCC Guest Services provides the exclusive services of event staffing (ticket taker, usher, and badge checker) event security, Fire Marshal, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and off-duty Minneapolis Police Officer.

Coat/Baggage Check
The Minneapolis Convention Center provides the exclusive services of Coat/Baggage check.
Clients can request two (2) options for provision of service. Both of these services are offered during the coat check season October 15 through April 15. Coat/Baggage services requested during the non-coat check season April 16 through October 14 will be required to use the Hosted service.
- Per item charge: Guest Services will schedule and oversee personnel and your attendees will pay a per item charge at the current rate - $2.00 coats/tote bags and $3.00 luggage.
- Hosted: Guest Services will schedule and oversee personnel and the per item coat/luggage charge will be to the host of the event. Clients will be charged whichever fee is greater between the minimum labor costs or number of per items checked-in.
Baggage check areas can not be set up in MCC lobbies or corridors. Baggage check areas must be in a secure enclosed area, such as a meeting room.

Mobility Shop (scooter and wheelchair rental)
The Mobility Shop is the exclusive on-site provider for mobility equipment at the MCC. The Mobility Shop makes it easy to rent and reserve equipment through www.themobilityshop.com or by calling toll free 888-404-5554.
The Mobility Shop recommends clients reserver equipment in advance. All equipment can be picked up and returned on-site at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Mobility equipment cannot depart the MCC premises. Overnight use of mobility equipment is prohibited, mobility equipment must be returned prior to departure from the convention center.
