The Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC) is actively involved in sustainable business practices. They understand that even small initiatives, when you host over 500 events a year with nearly 900,000 people, can have a major positive impact on the environment.

That is why the MCC is proud of their sustainable programs.

• Environmental Programs to train staff on green practices
• HVAC and Lighting systems monitored around the clock to save energy
• Recycled non-human consumable foods are donated to Second Harvest Farms, Inc.
• 50 recyclable material collection receptacles (paper/can/bottle) throughout the building for attendees
• Cardboard compacter – 98% of material is recycled
• Low-flow automatic-flush toilets
• Restroom sinks have spring-loaded faucets
